Artillery + City Damage

I believe there to be a flaw in regards to the inability to damage a city with artillery/bombardment unlike other similar games. Right now, essentially, a person can build no troops and not interact militarily with anyone as they do not really face the threat of bombardment/ damage to buildings (except for the non-capital city conquering threat). Essentially, most of time all you have to do is move your resources (and/or troops if you have them) and you do not have to worry about anything else. You should be able to damage buildings and thus lower the players ability to create troops, create resources, etc.

Or you could be able to conquer the city and be able to chose whether or not to keep it. Deciding not to keep it would raze the city.

Also, does anyone have experience with conquering and what is required and what occurs with conquering a city?

Yeah that is totally true,there is not enough competitive edge...It should be like in Grepolis, if they attack you hard,send a revolt attack and then a colony ship they take ya city... and I can tell ya the wars there are...huge. And as far as alliances are concerned the game gets way more intense...

Until you fix the inability to actually damage a player I will not be joining new servers. Conquering is not enough and has its flaws (what if you do not have a slot available? what if the city is very far from you making it a pointless addition to your cities?, etc). The game right now is just a troops/res shuffle or duck, duck, goose game which gets boring really fast.

Seriously guys, you need to fix this. Right now it is impossible to prevent a player from attaining an ever growing population. Eventually a player essentially becomes invincible because of embassy pop/tax income. Either you allow people to damage buildings or you nerf the population increases that embassies create.
